Hyde Park Attractions
London’s best loved park – right on your doorstep
Boasting more than 350 acres of tranquil greenery, Hyde Park is one of London’s finest, most renowned landscapes. It is as synonymous with London as Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament – but such is its peaceful, relaxed atmosphere, it’s easy to forget you’re in one of the World’s busiest, most vibrant cities. Our Hyde Park Executive Apartments, in the popular Bayswater area, overlook the North Edge of the grounds. To the East is Mayfair (famed as the most expensive square on the Monopoly board), while to the South is trendy Knightsbridge. The park and these surrounding areas make for a great day of exploration, but the less energetic will be equally delighted with a lazy picnic on the banks of the Serpentine – a beautiful body of water that runs through Hyde Park.
Princess Diana Memorial Fountain
The Princess Diana Memorial Fountain, built in 2004, is a stunning piece of modern architecture that serves as a fitting tribute to The People’s Princess. Crafted from more than 500 pieces of Cornish granite, the unique and beautiful design sees water cascade in both directions from its highest point – captivating the visitors who gather to see it. In stark contrast to so many public monuments, this particular memorial is in perfect harmony with its blissful surroundings.
7 July Memorial
Another notable Hyde Park monument is the 7 July Memorial. Featuring 52 individual pillars, the site pays tribute to each of the people killed in the London bombings of 200
Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground

Families with children will enjoy a visit to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground - where youngsters are free to play, explore and let their imaginations run away with them. They will discover a variety of play sculptures and toys, a fun pirate ship, a sensory trail and much more – while parents can take a well-earned break in the seating area. The play ground is literally 5 minutes walk from our building (entering the park on your left) so once the little ones have tired themselves out, it’s a thankfully short journey home. Princess Diana’s one-time residence, Kensington Palace, can be found at the West side of the park – an area dominated by impressive public gardens. You can amble amongst the delightful flora for free, while visitors can also arrange to take a paid tour of the palace.
The Lido
Hyde Park’s public Lido offers the perfect way to cool down on a balmy summer’s day. It is open between June and September, but the accompanying café is open for business year round.
Speakers Corner
Speakers Corner is one of the more intriguing areas of the park. A result of 19th century legislation, Speakers Corner allows anybody to speak publically on any subject they wish, provided they use no obscene language. You’ll find it at the North East corner of the park, not far from Hyde Park Executive Apartments. From your apartment, simply enter the park and turn left until you reach the park corner.
