Public transport in and around Hyde Park

Tube: Serving the Circle and District lines, Bayswater Tube station is just four minutes away (on foot) from Hyde Park Executive Apartments. Alternatively, guests will find several other Tube stations are within walking distance of hotels near Bayswater Road London – Edgware Road (Circle/ District and Hammersmith & City lines), Lancaster Gate (Central line), Notting Hill Gate (Circle/ District and Central lines), Paddington (Circle/ District and Bakerloo lines), Queensway (Central line) and Royal Oak (Circle and Hammersmith & City lines).

Other nearby stations include Royal Oak, Edgware Road, Lancaster Gate and Paddington.

Rail: The major mainline Paddington Station serves the UK-wide rail network, affording you access to popular places in the west of England, such as Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Bristol and, of course, the country of Wales. Paddington Station is also the terminus of the Heathrow Express; the 15-minute-long, high-speed rail service that connects Central London with Heathrow Airport. You’ll find ours is very much a hotel near Paddington Station – it’s just a 20-minute walk away from us (or six minutes by road).

Buses: As you may expect, London’s bus network is extensive and excellent. From the Hyde Park area, you can catch buses that’ll take you all over the capital. Bus routes to seek out, then, include the numbers 7 (to Russell Square), 23 (to Liverpool Street), 27 (to Chalk Farm), 70 (to Acton) and 148 (to Camberwell Green). To pay for a journey, you’ll be expected to tap in and out as you get on and get off a bus, via either a credit/ debit card or a TfL-exclusive Oyster Card (the latter can be ordered online before your trip to London and picked up at any London mainline train station).

Road: London is connected to the UK’s motorway network via (among others) the M4 and M25 motorways, both of which are roughly a 25-minute drive from Hyde Park.

Airport: Of the four major London-serving airports, the nearest to us, here in Hyde Park, is the world-renowned Heathrow International Airport. Travel time to and from Heathrow can vary – perhaps the quickest way to access it is to catch the 15-minute-long, high-speed Heathrow Express rail service from Paddington Station.
